Building Up Three Kids Dad: 5 Steps To Create A Successful Blog

Introduction: what I did while I first build up this blog

Hey there, I want to take you behind the scenes and share the major steps I took to build up my blog. So, grab your notepads because we’re diving right in!

Here are the major steps when creating a blog

Step 1 – Registering a Domain Name

The first step in creating a successful blog is registering a domain name. This is your blog’s unique address on the internet. When you have decided the domain name to use, it will become your blog name and everyone from the world will use this domain name to reach your blog. So you will need to register your domain name from a domain name service (DNS) provider, there are some famous DNS providing this, such as CrazyDomain and I used Hostinger. Now, let me tell you why I chose “Three Kids Dad” as my domain name. Being a father of three children has been the most important milestone in my life over the past decade. It’s a role that has brought me immense joy, challenges, and growth. So, when I started this blog, I wanted the name to reflect the core of who I am – a dedicated, loving father navigating the journey of parenthood with three incredible kids. So, choosing the name “Three Kids Dad” was a no-brainer for me because being a father of three children has been the most significant honor and a privilege to share my experiences and insights with you all.

Step 2 – Subscribing for a Hosting Server

After securing my domain name, the next step was to subscribe to a hosting server. This is where your blog’s files and data will be stored and accessed by visitors. Choosing a reliable hosting provider is crucial for your blog’s performance and security. It’s like renting a space to store all your blog’s content and making it accessible to the world. For server hosting, I also used Hostinger as they provided nearly everything you need to create a website and the pricing they offered is also very price efficient.

Step 3 – Setting Up the Blog Website Using WordPress

Now that we have our domain name and hosting server, it’s time to set up our blog website. I chose WordPress as my content management system because of its user-friendly interface and extensive customization options (called plugin). With WordPress, you don’t need to be a coding expert to create a professional-looking blog. It’s like having a toolbox full of tools that help you design and organize your content.

Step 4 – Promoting your blog is key to success

Once your blog is up and running, it’s essential to promote it and reach a wider audience. Start by leveraging social media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter (now called X). Share engaging posts and snippets from your blog to capture people’s attention and drive traffic to your website. Utilizing social networks can help you get your blog in front of the right people. Networking with other bloggers in your niche is also a great way to promote your blog. Collaborate on guest posts, participate in blog hops, and engage in meaningful conversations within the blogging community.

Step 5 – Make sure you measure your progress

As you continue to grow your blog, it’s crucial to measure your performance and understand what’s working and what needs improvement. Utilize analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, to track your website’s traffic, user behavior, and engagement levels. By monitoring your performance, you can identify your most popular content, understand your audience’s preferences, and make strategic adjustments to enhance your blog’s overall impact.

And there you have it! The major steps I took to build up Three Kids Dad. Registering a domain name, subscribing for a hosting server, and setting up the blog website using WordPress are essential components in creating a successful blog. But don’t forget to promote your blog and analyze the performance to measure your progress. Remember, it’s a journey of growth and learning, and I’m here to support you every step of the way. By following these five steps, you can create a successful blog for you and your readers. So get out there and get blogging!
